NOMA offers exclusive use of the museum for weddings, including the following venues:
Freeport-McMoRan Great Hall
Crafted over a century ago, the Great Hall is admired for its exquisite architectural detail in the sculptural Beaux-Arts style. Guests will be greeted by a dramatic grand staircase, hand-laid marble floors, soaring white columns, and a balcony with panoramic views. Intriguing exhibitions change frequently, so there is always something new to view. At 3,200 square feet, the Great Hall is the ideal place for music and mingling. The Great Hall is available when you rent the entire museum interior.
McDermott Lobby
The first floor elevator lobby holds 2,940 square feet of space adjoining the Great Hall. Accessible from either side of the grand staircase, the length of the lobby is ideal for food and beverage stations. The McDermott Lobby is available when you rent the entire museum interior.
Gallery Spaces
The Great Hall is surrounded by five galleries that hold the museum’s Old Master paintings of Italian, Dutch, and Flemish art. Your guests will marvel at the opportunity to dine amidst these sophisticated masterpieces, dating as far back as the 14th century. The galleries range between 400 and 900 square feet and can seat a total of 200 guests. All five galleries are available when you rent the entire museum interior.
Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden
Situated on five acres adjacent to the museum, the sculpture garden is home to over sixty-two sculptures by renown twentieth and twenty-first century artists. Meandering lagoons, bridges, Spanish moss-laden ancient oaks, and mature pines are just a few of the distinguishing features that make this a favorite spot for wedding ceremonies and cocktails before transitioning into the museum for the reception. The sculpture garden can be added-on to your rental of the entire museum interior, or it can be rented as an independent venue for one hour.
Freeman Courtyard and Booth-Bricker Courtyard
Each courtyard is 1,900 square feet and can accommodate up to 75 guests each. Situated on either end of the McDermott Lobby, both courtyards are wheelchair accessible and are available as add-on venues when you rent the entire museum interior.
