French Connections Film Series: Dangerous Liaisons

Travel through time to 18th-century France with films exploring life among the aristocracy. This series, presented in conjunction with the exhibition The Orleans Collection, takes place Saturday afternoons in November and December.

ABOUT DANGEROUS LIAISONS
This portrait of the 18th-century French aristocracy focuses on a scheming widow and her manipulative ex-lover, who make a bet regarding the corruption of a recently married woman. Adapted from the 18th-century French novel, Les liaisons dangereuses, by Pierre Chodarios de Lacios, the film stars Glenn Close, John Malkovich, Michelle Pfeiffer, Swoosie Kurtz, Keanu Reeves, and Uma Thurman.
