Noontime Talk: American Musicians with Curatorial Fellow Brian Piper
Wed, March 28th, 2018 at 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
Noontime talks are casual conversations between artists, curators, and other special guests with NOMA visitors frequently scheduled throughout the year. Louisiana residents receive free admission every Wednesday courtesy of The Helis Foundation.
Join Curatorial Fellow Brian Piper for a discussion about Lee Friedlander: American Musicians. From the mid-1950s through the 1970s, renowned photographer Lee Friedlander was commissioned by major recording studios to take portraits of famous twentieth-century recording artists, including Johnny Cash, Miles Davis, Ray Charles, Tammy Wynette, and Carl Perkins, among others.
