Back for their tenth collaboration with NOMA, the NOLA Project theater company returns to the Besthoff Sculpture Garden with a new twist on Washington Irving’s Halloween classic The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by ensemble member Pete McElligott.

This outdoor, spooky, immersive production features Ichabod Crane and the infamous Headless Horseman. Sounds great, huh? We at the NOLA Project thought so, too—and that’s what we intended for the audience. That is, until the cast started to be mysteriously killed off…and the crew…and the entire Louisiana Philharmonic that was supposed to take part in the festivities. But the show must go on! By any means necessary…

Come enjoy this horrifically hilarious Halloween-season production that is part American classic, part the play that goes wrong, and all kinds of absurd fun. Written by NOLA Project favorite Pete McElligott, this new telling is bound to leave you laughing your head off. Perhaps literally.

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow runs Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 7 pm from October 16 to November 13. All seating is bring-your-own. Food trucks will be available at all performances as well as a fully stocked bar. No outside food or drink is allowed inside the Sculpture Garden other than food truck and NOMA bar items.

Rain Plan: For productions canceled due to inclement weather, we will notify all ticketed patrons no later than 4pm. Patrons will then receive instructions via email on how they may reschedule their tickets for another performance or request a refund. All ticket purchases for any production that is rained-out mid performance are final.
