SUMMARY:LOVE in the Garden 2020 presented by Hancock Whitney - CANCELED
DESCRIPTION:The New Orleans Museum of Art has made the difficult decision to cancel our annual fundraiser\, LOVE in the Garden presented by Hancock Whitney scheduled for Friday\, September 25\, 2020. Given the number of attendees and the social distancing guidelines issued by the City of New Orleans and State of Louisiana due to the COVID- 19 pandemic\, the New Orleans Museum of Art’s leadership along with presenting sponsor\, Hancock Whitney\, agreed that canceling the event would be in the best interest of public health safety. \nThe well-being and safety of staff\, volunteers\, sponsors\, guests\, and donors are NOMA’s and Hancock Whitney’s highest priorities. \nFor fifteen years\, LOVE in the Garden\, which takes place in the iconic Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden\, celebrates the visual and culinary artists of New Orleans with a festive evening offering the best of New Orleans cuisine\, spirits\, and entertainment. Over 1\,500 guests enjoy featured menu items from over 60 of New Orleans’ finest restaurants\, caterers and food trucks\, as well as craft cocktails from New Orleans’ top bartenders. The funds raised at LOVE provide crucial general operating support to NOMA\, allowing us to keep staff on payroll\, create innovative virtual content and serve our community with educational initiatives. \nWe thank our presenting sponsor\, Hancock Whitney as well as all of our loyal sponsors\, patrons\, donors and volunteers who have made LOVE the success that it is. We look forward to celebrating with all of you in 2021 for a spectacular LOVE in the Garden presented by Hancock Whitney.

SUMMARY:Art in Bloom presented by IBERIABANK – Online auction
DESCRIPTION:CLICK HERE TO MAKE A DONATION TO ART IN BLOOM\n  \nDear Friends\, \nWe thank all of our sponsors and ticket holders for their support of Art in Bloom presented by IBERIABANK. Due to the current COVID 19 crisis\, NOMA and the Garden Study Club have made the difficult decision to cancel our annual fundraiser. Like every public institution\, the safety and well-being of our staff\, volunteers\, patrons\, guests\, donors and participants are our highest priorities during these complicated times. \nWe would especially like to thank our presenting sponsor\, IBERIABANK\, for their significant and on-going support of the arts and our New Orleans community. Funds raised at Art in Bloom provide critical resources for NOMA’s core educational initiatives and exhibitions as well as the important community projects sponsored by The Garden Study Club of New Orleans. These funds are even more crucial as both organizations strive to meet the growing needs of our community. \nWe hope that all sponsors and ticket holders will consider their sponsorships and ticket purchases as a 100% tax donation. The new CARES (Coronavirus Aid\, Relief\, and Economic Security) Act allows all taxpayers to take a charitable deduction of up to $300\, even if you do not itemize. Again\, we thank you all for your generous support and for your patience during this difficult time. \nAlthough guests will not be present at Art in Bloom this year\, everyone can participate virtually as we launch the silent auction on Friday\, May 1. The on-line auction will feature works of art from over 70 local and regional artists. We hope that you will bid high and bid often for Art in Bloom! It will make an enormous difference. Again\, thank you for your incredible support. SUMMARY:NOMA Egg Hunt and Family Festival 2020 - CANCELED
DESCRIPTION:In consideration of the Governor’s ban on public gatherings of over 250 people\, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our annual fundraiser\, the NOMA Egg Hunt & Family Festival on Saturday\, April 4\, in the Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden. \nWe thank our sponsors\, donors\, committee members\, volunteers and participants for their support. The safety and well-being of our staff\, volunteers\, and guests (young and old) are our highest priorities. \nFunds raised at the NOMA Egg Hunt & Family Festival support the education and exhibition programs of NOMA. Please consider your tickets and sponsorships as a direct donation to the museum. Your support is even more critical to NOMA during these difficult times. \nFor our current sponsors and ticket holders\, we will be putting together bags of eggs and other treats for you to create a home-based egg hunt — we thank Adventure Quest Laser Tag\, Elmer Chocolate and Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers for their donations to these bags. Again\, thank you to our sponsors and ticket holders for all for your generous support. \nNOMA has decided to temporarily close our doors to aid in the prevention of the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). We are motivated to act together in accordance with instructions from our state and local government regarding one of the most effective measures for preventing the spread of the virus\, which is social distancing. \nWe look forward to welcoming back our public\, staff and volunteers\, all of whom are critically important to our success. \n  \n  \nEVENT CHAIRS: Catherine Lemoine | Cara Ogg | Annie Orillac Thibodeaux\nNOMA VOLUNTEER COMMITTEE CHAIR: Carla Adams\n\n  \n  \nThank you to our sponsors\nLead SponsorsCatherine Burns Tremaine\n\n  \n  \nFun & Games\nCammie and Charles Mayer \n \n \n  \nSweets & Treats\nMagic Box Toys \nMetairie Small Animal Hospital \nWhen You Wish Entertainment \n  \nBunnies & Baskets\nCarla and Jay Adams \nLynne Burkart \nCatherine and Luke Lemoine \nLukka Boutique \nCara and Thomas Ogg \n  \nBoogie & Bounce\nBeary Cherry Tree Child Development Center \nLauren and Jeffrey Doussan \nEntablature Design-Build \nEvangeline Securities \nDiana and Sean Fisher \nGulf Coast Bank & Trust Company \nRyan and Kuffa Jones \nHolt and Gordo Kolb \nLake Vista Pediatrics \nLittle Miss Muffin \nDoug and Jamie Lurie \nLee and Jennifer McMillan \nAyesha and Aaron Motwani \nNurture Nannies \nPerret’s Army and Outdoor Store \nPippen Lane \nLucia B. SUMMARY:Art in Bloom 2019 | Illuminations: Looking Within and Beyond in partnership with IBERIABANK
DESCRIPTION:  \nOne of the most anticipated springtime events in New Orleans\, Art in Bloom showcases spectacular floral designs created by over 100 exhibitors that remain on display at NOMA for four days\, from March 28-31.  Proceeds from Art in Bloom benefit education projects and exhibitions at NOMA and community projects of The Garden Study Club of New Orleans. \nWith a focus on light\, transformation and discovery as New Orleans enters its fourth century\, Art in Bloom’s 2019 event theme is Illuminations: Looking Within and Beyond. After an extraordinary tricentennial year of reflection and celebration\, 2019 affords us the opportunity to look ahead with limitless imagination and innovation. Echoing Until Today\, NOMA’s survey of pioneering conceptual light and sculptural artist Keith Sonnier\, Illuminations will feature the most creative minds of our city expressing the brilliant future of New Orleans and the radiance of the citizens that will inhabit it through botanicals\, florals\, ephemeral materials and an inventive use of light. \n  \n  \n\nPatron and Preview Party | March 27\, 2019\nPatron Party 6 pm | Preview Party 7 – 10 pm\nThe Patron and Preview Party features cuisine and libations from top New Orleans restaurants\, a silent auction featuring one-of-a-kind art\, and live music.\nGuests enjoy an exclusive preview of the floral displays. \nDisplays on View to the Public | March 28-31\, 2019\nLectures and Luncheon | NOMA | March 28\, 2018 (SOLD OUT)\nEvent Chairs | Sweet Dupuy and Catherine Makk\n  \nCLICK HERE to view photos from Art in Bloom 2018\n\nOnline sales have ended. Guests enjoy an exclusive preview of the floral displays. \n  \nMARCH 28 | LECTURES & LUNCHEON\n9:30 AM| Putnam and Putnam | NOMA \n  \nFrom lavish opulence to pared-down restraint\, Putnam & Putnam’s highly customizable floral arrangements are uniquely tailored for every occasion. Founded in 2014 by Darroch\, a photographer by trade\, and Michael\, a formally trained interior designer\, the Putnams’ signature designs meld site-specific drama with gentle precision\, which have garnered the attention of clients like Bergdorfs\, Vogue\, Harpers Bazaar\, among other countless clients. Ranging from the darker\, muted palettes in the Dutch tradition to blinding neons looking to the future\, Putnam & Putnam’s neverending perspectives on color help pave a new narrative for every client. Most recently\, they have authored “The Flower Color Guide”\, the first reference book to organize flower types by color\, with an emphasis on seasonality and creative color schemes – and the results are stunning in their sheer variety. What Pantone is to color\, Flower Color Guide is to flowers. \n  \n10:45 AM | Nicky Haslam | NOMA \n  \nNicky Haslam is an English interior designer and socialite\, and founder of the London-based interior design firm\, NH Studio Ltd. Nicky Haslam Studio is one of the worlds most distinguished and prolifically published interior design firms\, renowned for opulent\, original and timeless interiors as seen in Architectural Digest\, World of Interiors\, Vogue\, House and Garden\, Elle Décor\, and Traditional Home.  The Haslam aesthetic has been magnetising design cognoscenti around the world since 1972 when he first started practicing as interior designer. The firm is established as one of the most important luxury interior design offices in the United Kingdom\, known for high-end design\, bespoke furnishings and a style that is ever changing with the times\, yet always distinguishable for its humour\, charm and wit – much like Haslam himself. Under his guidance\, his creative team combines a unique sense of history with a modern contemporary outlook and the firm works on projects all over the globe including the English countryside and London\, New York\, Morocco\, New Orleans\, Denmark\, Montreal\, Barbados\, St Jean Cap Ferrat\, Monaco and Moscow\, Klosters\, Grasse\, Mallorca\, Los Angeles and Paris. \n  \n12:30 PM | Luncheon and Fashion Show | Pavilion of the Two Sisters | City Park \n  \nMARCH 28-31 | DISPLAYS ON VIEW TO THE PUBLIC\n  \nThank you to all of our 2019 Sponsors\nPresenting Sponsor\n \nBouquet\nEugenie and Joseph Jones Family Foundation \nPeggy and Timber Floyd \nNosegay\nJ.
