Back for their tenth collaboration with NOMA, the NOLA Project theater company returns to the Besthoff Sculpture Garden with a new twist on Washington Irving’s Halloween classic The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by ensemble member Pete McElligott. Tickets may be purchased in advance.

Opéra Nouvelle performance in the Besthoff Sculpture Garden
Singers from the Opéra Nouvelle will perform a variety of works in the setting of the Besthoff Sculpture Garden. Please bring lawn chairs or blankets for this roving three-part concert that will move from sculpture to sculpture throughout the garden. Seating is bring-your-own. Admission is FREE for this joint production between NOMA and the New Orleans Opera Association.

Join fellow book lovers as we read and discuss fiction and nonfiction books related to art, artists, art museums, NOMA’s collections and exhibitions. The book selection for October is The Last Painting of Sara de Vos: A Novel by Dominic Smith.

Besthoff Sculpture Garden Tour
Join NOMA’s docents for a free guided tour of the Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden on Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays, weather dependent, at noon. Represented sculptors include Pierre Auguste Renoir, Rene Magritte, Henry Moore, Isamu Noguchi, George Rodrigue, and Robert Indiana, among others.
Museum Highlights Tour
NOMA docents guide visitors on hour-long tours of either the permanent collection or special exhibitions. Tours are free with NOMA admission. Meet in the Great Hall to join in.

Mindfulness Intensive Course
Join a Mindfulness course under the instruction of Dr. Jayshee Rao for two days, Saturday, November 2, and Sunday, November 3, from 10 am to 1 pm and 2 to 5 pm. Advance registration required.
