NOMA's Teen Squad presents Teen Night: VIBRANT DIMENSIONS, a Friday night takeover inspired by the work of artists Alia Alia and Odili Donald Odita. Wear your boldest and brightest and enjoy FREE food, screen-printed T-shirts, art activities, youth performances, music by DJ Legatron Prime and more! Studio KIDS! presents a dynamic series of children’s art classes exploring our southern Louisianan environments and homes: both real and imagined. Each week, participants will engage with different sources of inspiration in NOMA’s galleries or the Besthoff Sculpture Garden, starting with explorations of the landscape and its creatures, then shifting focus indoors to explore exquisite constructions in the interior. Throughout Art in Bloom, from March 25 to 29, daily tours of the Besthoff Sculpture Garden will be offered at noon and 1 pm. Sited on twelve acres adjacent to the museum, the garden contains more than ninety works by renowned sculptors placed among a picturesque mature grove of pine, magnolia, and moss-draped live oak trees surrounding a picturesque lagoon.

In consideration of the Governor’s ban on public gatherings of over 250 people, the NOMA Egg Hunt and Family Festival in the Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden has been canceled.
Instill a love of art at a young age through a guided, hands-on gallery experience. Young Audiences Wolf Trap teaching artists will present a series of six workshops for caregivers and children ages 0-3. Learn how to integrate music, movement, and drama into everyday playtime to foster children’s developmental growth. Advanced registration requested. |
