New Board Members and NOMA Volunteer Committee Chair Appointed
NEW ORLEANS, LA – Susan M. Taylor, NOMA’s Montine McDaniel Freeman Director, and Julie Livaudais George, president of NOMA’s Board of Trustees, announce the appointment of ten new trustees to the board as well as a new NOMA Volunteer Committee Chair. The ten new trustees are: Eric K. Blue, Elizabeth Boone, Juli Miller Hart, Adee Heebe, Russ M. Herman, Louis J. Lupin, Cammie Mayer, Elizabeth Monaghan, Thomas Reese and Lynes R.”Poco”Sloss. Dana Hansel will serve as Chair of the NOMA Volunteer Committee.
Eric K. Blue:
Eric Blue is a founding member and Managing Director of the private equity firm RLMcCall Capital Partners. Mr. Blue has been involved in all phases of the firm’s development since inception.
Elizabeth Boone:
Elizabeth Boone is the Chair of the Department of History of Art at Tulane University. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin, 1977, and is a specialist in Pre-Columbian and early colonial art of Latin America, with an emphasis on Mexico. Formerly Director of Pre-Columbian Studies at Dumbarton Oaks, she has taught art history at Tulane since 1995.
Juli Miller Hart:
Juli Miller Hart is the Founder and CEO of Projects with Purpose, LLC, which is focused on creating humanitarian experiences for businesses and corporations hosting conferences and meetings. She has previously worked as a business consultant, as Vice President of Business Development for Texas Roadhouse, Inc., and as a news anchor for WDSU. Last year, Juli was a co-chair of NOMA’s Odyssey.
Adee Heebe:
Adrea Heebe is a graduate of Tulane University Law School. Her board service is extensive and includes the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, the New Orleans Shakespeare Festival at Tulane and Longue Vue House and Gardens. She previously served as a member of NOMA’s Board of Trustees and chaired the 2010 Centennial Odyssey Ball.
Russ M. Herman:
Russ M. Herman is a Senior Partner of Herman, Herman & Katz, LLC. He graduated from Tulane University with a B.A. and LL.B. in 1966. In 1977, he was chosen Outstanding Trial Lawyer by the Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association, and was LTLA President in 1980-81. He is a collector of artists’ books, old master drawings, and self-taught art.
Louis J. Lupin:
Louis Lupin is a Senior Attorney at Sullivan Stolier Knight, a firm focused on the needs of healthcare providers. He has served on a number of New Orleans boards including the Newman School and currently serves on the board of the Lupin Foundation.
Cammie Mayer:
A former member of the Board of Trustees at NOMA, Cammie led NOMA’s Board of Trustees as President from 2011 to 2013. She is a former NVC chair and current active member and volunteer. She also serves on the national board of Mount Vernon.
Elizabeth Monaghan:
Elizabeth Monaghan, her husband and young sons moved to New Orleans from New York three years ago. They collect contemporary art informed by Elizabeth’s years working in photography galleries and as a photo editor for The New Yorker magazine. She currently serves on NOMA’s Director’s Council and Accessions Committee.
Thomas Reese:
Thomas Reese has been Executive Director of the Stone Center, Tulane University, since 1999. His scholarship and publications include studies of eighteenth-century Spanish art and politics, culture contact in sixteenth-century Mexico, devotional space in Colonial Andean society, and contemporary architectural practice in Europe and America. He previously served as Tulane’s representative on NOMA’s Board of Trustees.
Lynes R.”Poco” Sloss:
Lynes “Poco” Sloss is co-founder of Bellwether Technology, a company providing IT services to businesses across the region. A community and civic leader, he has served on several boards including Bureau of Governmental Research, New Orleans Planning Commission, Public Belt Railroad and Canal Barge. Poco currently chairs the NOMA Business Council.

About NOMA and the Besthoff Sculpture Garden
The New Orleans Museum of Art, founded in 1910 by Isaac Delgado, houses nearly 40,000 art objects encompassing 4,000 years of world art. Works from the permanent collection, along with continuously changing temporary exhibitions, are on view in the museum’s 46 galleries Fridays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The adjacent Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden features work by over 60 artists, including several of the 20th century’s master sculptors. The Sculpture Garden is open seven days a week, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The New Orleans Museum of Art and the Besthoff Sculpture Garden are fully accessible to handicapped visitors and wheelchairs are available from the front desk.
